Another day, another behind-the-scenes album from the sets of Ponniyin Selvan 2 shared by celebrated costume designer Eka Lakhani. The Mani Ratnam magnum opus is making all the right noises. The film has been ruling the box office and how. In the latest set of pictures shared by Eka on Instagram, we get a glimpse of Karthi gearing up for his role. Next, Karthi and Aishwarya Lekshmi share a candid moment. Now, here comes the best one. Mani Ratnam and music maestro AR Rahman are enjoying a meal together. Along with the pictures, Eka wrote, “BTS #PS2”. Ponniyin Selvan 2’s ensemble starcast includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj, among others. The film was released on April 28. 

Before this, Eka Lakhani shared some pictures and videos from the sets of Ponniyin Selvan 2 on Instagram. The first frame stole all the spotlight. It featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan posing with Eka and others. The album also featured Sobhita Dhulipala’s snack time moment. Eka’s side note read, “A lot of work.. a lot of play.. a lot of food.. lots of celebrations!”

Eka Lakhani’s behind-the-scenes album is sugar, spice and everything nice. After swiping the slides, it is safe to say the team PS 2 had a blast on the sets. Proof? These set of pictures shared by the costume designer on Instagram. The caption read, “Who said it was all fun and no play!!? #PS2”. Replying to the post, Sobhita Dhulipala said, “Man.. so good to see these pictures! Such good times!”

Ponniyin Selvan 2, as per the latest update shared by the makers, has been a “record-breaking blockbuster.” The film has collected over $3.5 million grossed in the first weekend” at the US box office.

The first part of the film was released in September last year.
