While in Kashmir, Hina Khan came across nadru and reminded Celebrity Masterchef judge, Chef Ranveer Brar about his promise to prepare nadru yakhni for her.

Hina Khan is currently enjoying her time in her hometown, Kashmir and has been sharing cosy updates with her fans on social media. It looks like the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress is craving some flavourful Nadru Yakhni, a traditional Kashmiri curry made from lotus stem. During her recent outing, Hina came across the vegetable and took the opportunity to remind Celebrity Masterchef judge chef Ranveer Brar about his promise to prepare some curry for her. She also mentioned she’s bringing back the authentic nadru from Kashmir to ensure she gets the authentic flavour when she returns to Mumbai.
The Kasautii Zindagii Kay star recently spotted a local nadru seller, a healthy part of the lotus plant and decided to share the picture on Instagram. The actress took the chance to remind Ranveer about his earlier promise to cook a special dish for her. For those not aware, nadru is not only used in curry but it can also be turned into pickles, salads, kebabs, koftas and more. It can even be enjoyed as a crispy side dish when fried. Hina wrote, “Reminded me of nadru yakhni you promised to make for me Ranveer Brar I am carrying nadru from here.”
Interestingly, Hina Khan got to enjoy Nadru Yakhni Pulav at Farah Khan’s house earlier this year. The recipe was shared by chef Ranveer Brar especially for Hina, and Farah made it for her. In her YouTube vlog, Farah told Hina that not only Ranveer but also Chef Vikas Khanna is a fan of hers. Hina smiled and replied that she loved both chefs a lot.
After joining Farah Khan on her vlog, Hina Khan also appeared as a guest on Celebrity Masterchef in February, along with her boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal. During the episode, Hina, who is currently going through treatment for Stage 3 breast cancer, thanked her partner for the support. She said that he is the one who helps her feel better when things are tough. He checks on her every day and looks at her scars. She added that Rocky quietly stays strong as he cries alone so that she doesn’t see him upset. Rocky also praised Hina’s courage and said he had never met anyone stronger than her.
