Shilpa Shirodkar delighted audiences during her 102-day journey on the Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss 18. Although the reality show wrapped up last month, the controversies surrounding the contestants seem to show no signs of slowing down. From heated remarks to reunion drama, these controversies are becoming a hot topic of discussion across social media platforms. Well now, Shilpa’s co-contestant Rajat Dalal stirred up controversy for his remarks on his fellow housemates. Appearing in Elvish Yadav’s podcast, he targeted Shilpa Shirodkar and called her “neech.”
The actress has now reacted to Rajat’s derogatory remarks in a candid conversation with Times of India TV. She said that she doesn’t need to give a reaction because Rajat is doing what he knows best.
During the conversation, she said, “His words had stopped affecting me in the BB 18 house only. Honestly, I don’t think I even need to give a reaction to this because I believe in each one of their own. He is doing what he knows best and I am doing what I know best. I feel jaise maine ghar mein reaction dena chod diya tha, waise main yahan par bhi reaction na doon toh sahi rahega.”
On being asked if Rajat’s words hurt her, she responded, “I don’t feel bad about the kind of words he has used for me because we get to know about people from their interviews or how they speak. If he feels this is the way, he needs to talk and he has to behave this way to people, then good for him. I can’t change anyone. I am in no position and I’m not interested also, to be honest.”
Elaborating further, she added, “Whatever happened in the Bigg Boss house, it is done now. I have left everything there in that house. If we meet in the future, I think we all will meet very cordially with each other. I know that surviving in that house without a relationship is very difficult and everyone has contributed to my presence in the house. There is a lot of mutual admiration, respect and love for everyone. I am not carrying any baggage of hate or disguise. I think that is me as a person.”
For those unaware, Rajat Dalal recently took a dig at Shilpa Shirodkar during Elvish Yadav’s podcast. The social media sensation, who never got along with Shilpa in the show, said, “Aap industry mein chahe kitne saal ho, mujhe ratti bhar farak nahi padhta. Mein neech aadmi bohot dekhe hain, aapse neech aadmi kabhi nahi dekha (No matter how many years you have been in the industry, it doesn’t matter to me at all. I have seen many lowly people, but I have never seen anyone as low as you.)”
Coming to Shilpa Shirodkar’s journey in Bigg Boss 18, the actress made it to finale week but was evicted based on the audience’s voting just days before the finale. Throughout her time on the show, Shilpa captivated audiences with her composed demeanour and strong opinions. Meanwhile, the controversial reality show concluded on January 19, with Karan Veer Mehra lifting the show’s trophy. Contestants Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal became the first and second runners-up, respectively.
