Paulose Ta Talks About His Book “Glee Of The Withered”
About the Author:
Born in Kerala in the year 1962 in a middle class family of 8 children the author after having completed matriculation joined a pious group to have God experience it was in fact an escapism from harsh realities of life. Soon the author came out of the pious group because of rigid and extreme ways of religious practices. Then, became a teacher, married a tribal woman and settled in Meghalaya with three children. The author wished to thank the SMC members of the Village Durbar Higher Secondary School Swer and my student Hamson Lyngdoh for rendering their immense support in shaping this poem.
Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?
A: The book is the result of deep thought about myself and what is happening in and around the world.
Q: What Does The Title Mean?
A: It means ‘ coming out of the dark feelings and then blossoming.’
Q: What Do You Think Happened To The Characters After The Book Ended?
A: I become a better person with a better outlook towards others and different situations of life.
Q: Where Do You Get Your Information Or Ideas For Your Books?
A: From by deep thought and reflections and the daily happenings in and around the world.
Q: When Did You Write Your First Book And How Old Were You?
A: This is my first book. But, I got a Meghalaya State Award for poem writing in the year 2017.
Q: How Many Books Have You Written? Which Is Your Favourite?
A: This is the first book. But multiple articles and poems were written by me.
Q: Do You Have Any Suggestions To Help Others To Become A Better Writer? If So, What Are They?
A: Keep on introspecting but never be weighed down by anyone or any dark situations.
Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?
A: I want to be original and authentic in my work.
Q: How Did Publishing Your First Book Change Your Process Of Writing?
A: It inspired me to write more and write better.

A: This is the book that is yet to be published. But many articles were published by me

A: Through Orangeburg publishers.
Q: Where Do You Get Your Greatest Ideas For Writing?
A: Introspection, meditation, prayer and being comfortable with solitude.
Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?
A: Keep on thinking, imlrove your imagination and put into words whatever the inner conscience tell. Be true to yourself.
