About the Author:

Maryam is a first-time author who writes not for recognition, but for quiet connection. In this debut, she offers reflections shaped gently over time — simple, sincere thoughts drawn from everyday life. Her writing invites readers to pause, ponder, and reconnect with what truly matters. Maryam believes that wisdom doesn’t always wear a crown — it often arrives softly, through small questions, quiet moments, and the unnoticed corners of life.

Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A: I have always believed that the simplest words often leave the deepest mark. Reflections That Matter grew from my own quiet observations, life lessons, and values I hold close. I wanted to create something that would offer gentle insight, inspiration, and comfort — like a warm conversation with a friend.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: The book is an A-to-Z journey through 26 timeless values, each one presented with a short, thoughtful reflection and an illustration. It is designed to be a companion for readers of all ages — something you can pick up anytime for a moment of clarity, encouragement, or simply a pause to think.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: Reflections That Matter refers to thoughts, values, and moments of introspection that truly influence who we are and how we live. They are the ideas that shape our choices and remain with us long after we’ve turned the page.

Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?

A: I learned that writing from the heart connects far more deeply than aiming for perfection. I also realized that even small thoughts, when expressed sincerely, can resonate widely and make a meaningful difference.

Q: Tell Us About Your First Published Book? What Was The Journey Like?

A: “What began as my personal reflections became a book that could reach hearts — thanks to a friend’s encouragement and my parents’ timeless values.”_ What began as a quiet, personal collection of thoughts and values I had kept close to my heart has now taken the form of my first published book, Reflections That Matter. These pages were never meant to be shared — they were my own way of preserving the lessons, observations, and little truths that shaped me. Everything changed when one of my dearest and closest friends, a sister-at-heart, Archu, encouraged me to bring them together into a book that could reach hearts beyond my own circle. Her belief planted the seed for what would become a journey filled with learning, vulnerability, and joy. I also carry deep gratitude to my parents, whose love, values, and example form the roots of every reflection within these pages. Reflections That Matter is more than a book — it is an invitation to pause, to find warmth in small moments, and to connect with words that linger long after they are read. My hope is that it touches the reader’s heart as deeply as it has touched mine in creating it.

Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?

A: Write what feels real to you, not what you think will impress others. Keep your words simple, sincere, and true to your vision. And most importantly, don’t wait for the “perfect” moment — start with what you have now and let your voice grow through the journey.
