Ram Navami Celebrations In Ayodhya: Thousands of devotees thronged Ayodhya’s Ram Temple on the occasion of Ram Navami on Sunday morning. Many took a holy dip in the Saryu River before visiting the temple.

The Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya witnessed the ‘Surya Tilak’ illuminating the forehead of Ram Lalla on the auspicious occasion. The ‘Surya Tilak’ happened at 12 PM when a beam of sunlight lightened the forehead idol of Ram Lalla marking a celestial tilak.

Ram Navmi is celebrated across India every year on the last day of Chaitra Navaratri to mark the birth of Lord Rama. On this day, young girls, representing the nine forms of the goddess Durga, are offered gifts and prasad at temples and households.
