Exclusive interview with the author
Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?
A: Across the globe everyone is looking at AI to be a friend, competitor, coworker, assistant, coach, expert and much more. Most of us are already using it in some form or the other. However, most of us are still struggling with the basics. As a part of the software development industry, this book is my experiences and experiments with Generative AI and how it can help Agile Teams in their day to day work.
Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?
A: This book is a meant both of prelim and advanced users of LLMs at every scale. Individuals to teams can leverage this book and treat this as a workshop to do hands-on with the prompts given here that would help them create a library of their own.
Q: What Does The Title Mean?
A: How May AI Help You? is an inviting title which was recommended by my lovely wife, Devika. She has been a true support to me in the entire journey of writing my first book. The topic intends to welcome people to use this book as an active assistant and a go-to manual for their prompt engineering needs.
Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?
A: My experiments with the LLMs that I interacted to write this book taught me that AI is evolving faster than anyone of us could ever imagine. It’s time that we ride this wave.
Q: Where Do You Get Your Information Or Ideas For Your Books?
A: This is my first book, and i intend to write many more. I get ideas from real life challenges and from people who seem to be struggling in figuring out things which should be rather easy.
Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?
A: It depends on the context. When you are talking about a fact, there is no originality. For example: Scrum is an established and popular agile framework of making things happen faster. So when I use “Scrum” I am not original. Having said that, I have attempted to engage my readers through a mix of facts, easy reading and crisp takeaways in the book.
Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?
A: Putting hours of thought to be satisfied with a version of text, paragraph or chapter that you would want to be published under your name.
Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?
A: Very crucial. Especially when you are writing a tech book, you got to get the facts right. For me it was like validating each prompt on multiple LLM platforms to ensure my readers get the most of this book.
Q: Do You Believe A Book Cover Plays An Important Role In The Selling Process?
A: Yes, it does. You won’t want to pick up a difficult to read and non-interesting cover.
Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?
A: There is not right time to get started with writing a book! IF you think you are ready, most certainly you are! Just Do It
