About the Author:

Srijita is an eye surgeon currently practicing in Kolkata. Its her maiden venture into the world of creative writing. She believes, “There is no perfect time to start something new. Whenever you start to act on your ideas, is the perfect time for you and never ever stop learning and growing”. She also runs a non profit organization, Mitralok Charitable Trust, based in Kolkata.

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A:I think “Life” in general. We all have a poetic lover , a romantic inside us which come to the fore at some point in our lifetime.

Q:What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?

A:Writing this book was mostly “therapeutic “ for me . I think every book one writes falls under the trajectory of your growth as a writer . You learn about your potential and figure out how you can be even better in your next .

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A:It is a collection of poems, musings and monologues.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: “Incoherent” as we know is mostly rambling . Real life instances have a parallel poetic rendition in our minds.

Q: How Long Does It Take You To Write A Book?

A: I usually give myself a time frame of 3-4 months . Everyone has their timelines so it’s not generalised .

Q: Do You Have Any Suggestions To Help Others To Become A Better Writer? If So, What Are They?

A:I guess when we are in our creative process , we should kind of isolate ourselves for a bit mostly from social media so that our ideas and thought process are not tampered or influenced .

Q:Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want? 

A:For me , writing is about being authentic and being able to express your thoughts which will definitely resonate with a certain section of readers if not everyone . As they say , your vibe attracts your tribe .

Q:How Did Publishing Your First Book Change Your Process Of Writing?

A: Publishing definitely makes one become more serious with future projects.

Q:What, In Your Opinion, Are The Most Important Elements Of Good Writing?

A:Being authentic, clarity of thought and words , relatability . It doesn’t have to bombastic , just simple.

Q: What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A:Success means being able to give your best . It’s not the outcome but the effort for me .
