PM Modi wished people happiness, prosperity and success on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended warm wishes to the countrymen on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the country’s  harvest festivals.

In a post shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister greeted citizens and highlighted the cultural and traditional significance of the festival. He said Makar Sankranti reflects the richness of Indian heritage and is closely linked with joy, unity and gratitude.

PM’s post on X reads, “Warm greetings to all fellow citizens on Makar Sankranti. May this sacred festival of Indian culture and tradition, filled with the sweetness of sesame and jaggery, bring joy, prosperity and success to everyone’s lives. May Lord Surya bless and uplift all.”

PM Modi added that the festival is celebrated with the sweetness of til (sesame) and gud (jaggery), which symbolise harmony and warmth in relationships. He expressed hope that the festival would bring happiness, prosperity and success into everyone’s lives.
