A corporate worker’s post on his experiences after moving from Noida to Bengaluru has caught the attention of netizens. In his post, the professional stated how deciding to move base to Bengaluru for a 30k per month hike proved to be wrong because of the “city’s traffic, less private space,” and more.

According to the professional’s post, he worked in Noida for more than a year but decided to move to Bengaluru after he bagged a better job offer.

He added that Bengaluru greeted him with “bad roads, worst traffic, bad water, less private space per individual”, and added that the city was dirty.

The professional also stressed that they could sense a “north vs south difference” on an everyday basis.

The corporate worker’s Reddit post, titled “Moved to Bangalore from Noida and I regret it”, read, “After completing my graduation I worked in Noida for more than a year and I really loved the city because of the city’s infrastructure and it’s diversity and many more. I planned to switch company looking at opportunities only in NCR at first but later I realized that I am losing many opportunities because of filtering the region.”

“Later I shifted and moved to Bangalore four months ago for a 30k/month hike compared to my previous compensation (told you the exact figure because it’s not worth moving for that hike), (sic),” he wrote.

“Now here in Bangalore, the city is dirty, not organised, had bad roads, worst traffic, bad water, less private space per individual and on top of all that the north vs south thing can be seen every day. Never in Noida I found dense populated places, Bangalore is completely opposite to that,” the professional wrote.

“I really regret moving out of Noida . So to people who are planning to shift from Noida to Bangalore, give your selves some time and think “Does it really worth moving”. IMO Noida is the best tier-1 city to work in (ignoring the pollution),” the post read.

“I am a South Indian,” a post script note read.

Other Reddit users were quick to respond to the post.

One of them wrote, “I did the opposite, moved from Bangalore to Noida because I wanted to stay near my parents. I think the only thing I miss are my friends in Bangalore else I feel moving to noida was the best decision I took… Saved a lot of money and stress. People say noida is unsafe but I feel much safer in Noida as compared to Bangalore.”

Another one wrote, “I swear i did the same tbh it is soo much convenient cause I don’t have to wait for 50-60mins to reach places just 6-7km away.”

“I did my graduation and initial job in Delhi NCR during 2010 to 2017, the security and safety have increased many times as compared to early years. In fact particularly bangalore has become unsafe in recent years. Mumbai or Hyderabad or ahemdabad are very safe if we are comparing with delhi NCR,” a third one wrote.

Another user credited the Yogi Adityanath government for making Noida and Greater Noida safe, saying, “The credit goes to the Yogi government else you just can’t think of visiting any area after Pari Chowk after dark. Those were the days when the crime was at peak.”

Meanwhile, the Greater Noida authority is all set to strengthen public safety and traffic management in the city by installing 2,700 surveillance cameras as part of the Safe City and Integrated Safety and Traffic Management System (ISTMS) project, media reports have suggested.
