Yatin Laygude Talks About His Book “One Night Stuck in My Office!”
About the Author:
Yatin is the author of two previous best-selling books: ‘The Mystery of Rosewood Villa,’ and ‘The Riddle of Silver Oaks.’ He graduated as a mechanical engineer, pursued his career by working as a full-time writer for an MNC, and spent his free office hours writing the next story that inspired him. All his books revolve around suspense thrillers with a tinge of romance and laughter, making the books fun and unputdownable. Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?
A:A break up, free time in office and reading Chetan Bhagat books inspired me to write this.
Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?
A: This book is about Jai Gosavi, who leaves his detective business, takes a 9 to 5 desk job and gets ‘Stuck’ in his office for a night. That night in the office brings him an unusual turn of events filled with mysteries and his life changes forever!
Q: What Does The Title Mean?
A: The title tells the story of a distressed employee who gets stuck in his office for a night to witness unusual turn of events.
Q: Where Do You Get Your Information Or Ideas For Your Books?
A:I get ideas for the book from the people around me and my surroundings.
Q: How Many Books Have You Written? Which Is Your Favorite?
A: I have written 3 books and my latest book ‘One Night Stuck in My Office!’ is my favorite one.
Q: How Did Publishing Your First Book Change Your Process Of Writing?
A:Publishing my first book made me a dedicated writer. Now I keep writing alteast a page a day.
Q:What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?
A:The most difficult part about writing for me it to be consistent. In the world full of distractions, it takes everything to sit in the chair and focus on writing.
Q: What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?
A: Success is again again a relative thing. But for me, I will be successful if I reach every reader in India, I guess.
Q: What Are Your Top 3 Books?
A:I have written three books and those in order are ‘The Mystery of Rosewood Villa, The Riddle of Silver Oaks and One Night Stuck in My Office!’
Q:Where Do You Get Your Greatest Ideas For Writing?
A:I get the greatest ideas for writing from the people around me and some of them also become my characters in the book.
Q:What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?
A:I will advise aspiring authors to write every day and consistently. Many drops together make an ocean and so do many pages together make a book.
