Elon Musk was supposed to be a part of the Donald Trump administration but reports suggest that he became a part of the Trump family — turning himself into the ‘guest who wouldn’t leave’ as he was seen hanging out at Donald Trump’s Florida resort almost every single day over the past week. Elon Musk was there with Trump with his four-year-old son X on Election Night and also got featured in Trump’s family photo.
But then it never ended. Musk remained there when world leaders called Donald Trump to congratulate him on his election win. When Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky called Donald Trump, Trump handed over the phone to Musk and Zelensky got a chit-chat time with Musk also.
Musk was at Mar-a-Lago on the weekend too as he was seen having dinner with Donald Trump and Melania.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins reported that Mar-a-Lago has been brimming for these last few days with two kinds of people — people angling for jobs in the Trump admin and those trying to influence Trump on the picks. And Elon Musk ‘loomed over’ all of them. “Multiple sources told me Musk has been seen at Mar-a-Lago nearly every single day since Donald Trump won dining with him on the patio at times, today they were seen on the golf course together,” Collins said Sunday adding that Musk was weighing in on staffing decisions.
Elon Musk is not expected to take any kind of formal position inside the Trump administration though he has been pitching for the Department of Government Efficiency — as Musk in administration would become very complicated for his companies, Kaitlan said on air adding that his presence at Mar-a-Lago made sure that he did not actually need a position in the administration as he is having as much influence from the outside.
Elon Musk backed Senator Rick Scott as the majority leader on the work front. And on the non-work front, he has also become Trump’s granddaughter Kai’s ‘uncle’ in family photographs.
