Elon Musk’s mother reacts to ‘Elon is a Nazi’ controversy after bizarre gesture – The Times of India

After Elon Musk rubbished claims that he made a Nazi salute at the inauguration of Donald Trump, his mother Maye Musk took to social media sharing other American leaders making a similar gesture including George W Bush, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton. Elon Musk’s brother Kimbal Musk too defended his brother and said the slander campaign won’t work.
“The entrenched interests run deep. They will throw everything they can at Elon to stop change. It won’t work. But it’s going to get uglier and uglier. Be ready, America. We’ll need you to have his back,” Kimbal posted.
“Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired,” Elon Musk said reacting to the major controversy.

Republicans defended and said Musk was making a ‘my heart goes out to you’ gesture but the liberals interpreted it as a Nazi salute.
“My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilisation is assured,” Elon Musk said on the stage, after giving the second one-armed salute.
Dem leader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed Elon Musk and said it was a Heil Hitler salute undoubtedly. “Just to be clear, you are defending a Heil Hitler salute that was performed and repeated for emphasis and clarity,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in response to the Anti-Defamation League on X.
“People can officially stop listening to you as any sort of reputable source of information now. You work for them. Thank you for making that crystal clear to all,” she added.
The ADL took to X in Musk’s defense, writing, “It seems that [Musk] made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute,” and argued people on both sides of the aisle shouldn’t jump to conclusions.
“We now have AOC jewsplaining to the ADL,” social media users said criticizing AOC. Musk later thanked ADL for defending him. “Thanks guys,” Elon Musk wrote with a crying laughing face emoji.
