Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled off a big chase against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, beating them by five wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium after chasing down 229 with nine balls to spare in IPL 2026.Teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 103 for Rajasthan Royals and smashed the third fastest century in IPL history, reaching his hundred in just 36 balls. But his innings ended up on the losing side as SRH’s batting unit delivered together to complete the fourth highest run chase in IPL history.It came just hours after Punjab Kings had chased 265 against Delhi Capitals in New Delhi, which became the highest successful chase in IPL history.For SRH, Ishan Kishan led the chase with 74 off 31 balls, while Abhishek Sharma made 57 from 29 balls after getting two lifelines in the innings.Heinrich Klaasen added 29, and Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 36. Klaasen and Nitish added 53 runs for the fourth wicket to take SRH closer before finishing the job comfortably.Rajasthan Royals used as many as eight bowling options, but poor fielding hurt them badly.They dropped Abhishek Sharma twice. First, Shimron Hetmyer moved away from third man when Abhishek hit one straight to him off Nandre Burger.
