NEW DELHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday that Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Andrew Puttick have tendered their resignations from their positions at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
The trio had been reassigned to the NCA after a change in their portfolios in November 2023.
The statement from the PCB read, “Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Andrew Puttick, who were assigned duties at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore after a change in their portfolios in November 2023, have resigned from their respective positions.”
Following the conclusion of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Pakistan implemented changes in the coaching staff, leading to the reshuffling of roles for Arthur, Bradburn, and Puttick within the NCA.

Mickey Arthur had been appointed as the Director of the Pakistan men’s cricket team in April 2023, while Grant Bradburn took on the role of the head coach of the Pakistan national men’s side earlier in the same year. Andrew Puttick, a former South Africa cricketer, had been serving as Pakistan’s batting coach since April 2023.
Mickey Arthur, a seasoned coach, had previously held the position of head coach for the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team from 2016 to 2019, achieving notable successes, including reaching the number one spot in the ICC Test team rankings and winning the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. He has also coached international teams such as South Africa, Australia, and Sri Lanka.
Grant Bradburn, 57, a former New Zealand cricketer, had served as the fielding coach of the Pakistan men’s team from 2018 to 2020. During his tenure as the head coach, Pakistan attained the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI team rankings for the first time in May 2023.
All three individuals communicated their decision to leave their respective positions to the Pakistan Cricket Board, and the resignations are expected to take effect by the end of January 2024.
The PCB expressed gratitude for their services and wished them success in their future endeavors. The parting was characterized as amicable between all stakeholders involved.
