Suriya’s Kanguva Set For November 14 Release With Runtime Of 2 Hours 34 Minutes – News18

Suriya’s one of the highly anticipated films, Kanguva has been creating a lot of buzz in the town. Directed by Siva, Kanguva is an upcoming big-budget film that already has Suriya’s fans excited. What has further added fuel to the excitement is the fact that Suriya will be seen in two different roles in the film and now the runtime details of the show have been revealed.
As per reports, the total runtime of Suriya’s film is 2 hours and 34 minutes which is slated for a global theatrical release on November 14. The first half of the film will run for an hour and 23 minutes while the second half runs for an hour and 11 minutes. The story is set in two different periods and Suriya’s one of the character’s name is Francis. A song featuring Suriya and Disha Patani was previously released by the production team and was received positively by the fans.
Kanguva is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner and Vamsi Pramod under the UV Creations banner.
The tweet about the runtime of Suriya has been making the rounds of the internet. The tweet read, “Kanguva Final Runtime – 2hr 34min. 1st Half – 1 Hr 23 Mins and 2nd Half – 1 Hr 11 Mins.”
Suriya will also star Bollywood actress Disha Patani as the lead actress, while Bobby Deol will be seen as the villain. The cast also includes Jagapathi Babu, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Anandaraj, G Marimuthu, and Bala Saravanan.
Meanwhile, the production company has assured the Madras High Court that the release of Suriya’s film will not take place on November 7. As per reports, Producer KE Gnanavel Raja, on behalf of Studio Green, had taken a loan of about Rs 99.22 crore from Reliance for the production of films including Teddy-2, X Meets Y, and Thangalaan. Reportedly, the producer has been able to repay only Rs 45 crore and has allegedly failed to repay the remaining amount, thus, breaching the terms of the contract. As a result, Reliance has filed a case at the Madras High Court requesting the staying of the release of Kanguva and Thangalaan on OTT platforms.
As of now, both these films will not be released on any OTT platform. The judge has also postponed the hearing of the case to November 7.
