Leena Gangopadhyay’s show Iss Ishq Ka Rabb Rakha has earned quite a fanbase ever since its release earlier this year. But reportedly, the Star Plus show has been a target of a series of fake news which has affected its reputation. While there is still ambiguity about the speculations made about the show, lead actors Fahmaan Khan and Sonakshi Batra have expressed their disappointment over the attempts to harm the reputation of their show, which is doing well on the channel.
Addressing the misinformation being spread, Fahmaan Khan stated, “Fake news does more than tarnish reputations-it undermines the hard work of the entire team.” as quoted By ETimes. He mentioned that the show aims to celebrate love and faith. He believes that the audience’s appreciation has grown with time, and they are eager to not let fake news affect the show’s success. Sonakshi Batra also shared the same views and the publication quoted her as saying, “It is disheartening to see baseless rumours being spread. Our fans’ love and support have been our strength, and we remain committed to giving our best.”
The actors expressed that they remain strong in their determination to let the work on screen speak for itself. Fahmaan added, “When the name of the show itself translates to divine blessings, how can we not rise above challenges? We will see our 1000th episode.”
Iss Ishq Ka Rabb Rakha follows the story of Meghla, portrayed by Sonakshi Batra, a singer, and Ranbir, played by Fahmaan Khan, a pilot. As per the plot, Meghla comes from a Bengali family, while Ranbir comes from a Punjabi background, and viewers are getting to see how the two from different cultures and beliefs build a life together and live happily ever after. The show has undoubtedly piqued the audience’s interest with its cultural conflict. The show premiered on September 16 and airs everyday at 7:30 pm.
Prior to this, Fahmaan Khan gained recognition for his role in Imlie, Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii and Krishna Mohini. On the other hand, Sonakshi Batra is known for her role in Nima Denzongpa, 14 Phere and the Bengali serial Swapnodana.
