NEW DELHI: Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Thursday achieved a major milestone, becoming the fifth Indian bowler to secure 600 international wickets across all formats of the game.
The achievement for Jadeja came during the first ODI against England in Nagpur where he claimed three wickets.
Jadeja’s final figures of 3 for 26 in nine overs helped India dismiss England for 248 runs in 47.4 overs. His third wicket of the match marked the 600-wicket milestone.

He joins the prestigious company of Indian bowling legends Anil Kumble (953), Ravichandran Ashwin (765), Harbhajan Singh (707), and Kapil Dev (687).
Entering the attack in the 15th over, Jadeja immediately made his presence felt with sharp turn from the pitch.
His first wicket came when he trapped Joe Root lbw with a quicker delivery. He followed it by dismissing Jacob Bethell, who had scored 51 runs, in a similar fashion. His third wicket was claimed by clean bowling Adil Rashid.
Since his international debut in 2009, Jadeja has established himself as a key player for India across formats. His all-round abilities have consistently contributed to the team’s success.
His career statistics showcase his versatility, with 323 Test wickets and 3,370 runs in the format. In ODIs, he has claimed 223 wickets in 198 matches, including two five-wicket hauls.
