Amarnath Yatra: Three buses collide in Kulgam; 10 pilgrims injured | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: At least 10 pilgrims were injured on Sunday after three buses in the Amarnath Yatra convoy collided on the way to a base camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said. The accident took place while the convoy was en route to the designated camp area. All injured were taken to a nearby hospital and are in stable condition. The buses involved in the crash were damaged, but the rest of the passengers were shifted to standby vehicles. The convoy later resumed its journey.’The annual Amarnath Yatra sees lakhs of devotees travel to the cave shrine in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmi. Pilgrims often pass through difficult mountain terrain. This year’s yatra began on July 3rd.
