The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for today, February 18, announcing restrictions and diversions across central Delhi in view of the AI Impact Summit 2026, being held at Bharat Mandapam.
Traffic curbs will be in place between 4 P.M. and 10 P.M. due to VVIP movements and security protocols.
In a post on ‘X’, the Delhi Traffic Police advised commuters to plan their journeys, avoid affected stretches, and strictly follow directions issued by the personnel deployed on the ground.

“Special traffic arrangements will be in place on 18 Feb, 2026 (1600–2200 hrs) in view of AI Impact Summit–2026. Commuters are advised to plan ahead, avoid affected stretches and follow directions of traffic personnel”, the post read.
Security will be tighter on Wednesday evening, with high-level VVIP attendance expected, given Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron are set to attend the mega event.

The police have advised commuters to co-operate with on-ground personnel, allow extra travel time, and stay in the loop regarding updates on the traffic arrangements.
According to the police, the curbs may stretch through the summit period, with restrictions being in place around Bharat Mandapam, hotels hosting delegates, and other important routes.
The AI Impact Summit 2026 — which concludes on February 20 — is being positioned as a platform to strengthen the voices of developing nations in global AI governance.
