While talking about his stint as Harry Potter and how it was like, Radcliffe had nothing but good things to share. However, while featuring on the ‘Hot Ones’ podcast, the actor revealed a harrowing detail about when he was filming for ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.’ In the film, there is a scene where the contestants have to go into the river to get their loved ones back to safety. The actor revealed that it was one of the scariest scenes he had ever done. He shared that the crew were given proper training, the same as what professional divers get. He shared that they were having him do an exercise to train his lungs better to deal with being underwater. He further added that he almost felt like he was about to drown at one point due to a silly mistake of his own.The actor shared details about the matter in grave detail. He cited that “I remember I took the thing out once, and I was like, didn’t breathe. Don’t have any breath to clear this when I get it back on. And I put it back in and I was like [motioning upward] which is ‘Get me out of here,’ that’s my drowning signal. And I got up and the stunt coordinator looked at me in the way that only he could — lovely man called Greg Powell — and he goes, ‘Well, you won’t make that mistake again!’”He also shared that since it was one of the hardest things he has ever done for one of his roles, he does not look forward to returning to doing such scenes anytime soon.
