Veteran comedian Dinesh Hingoo, known for his impeccable comic timing and distinctive screen presence, enjoyed a prolific career that spanned over four decades, from 1967 to 2010, during which he appeared in more than 300 films. He became a familiar face in Hindi cinema, often stealing scenes even in brief roles. He worked alongside several generations of actors and was a constant in both mainstream entertainers and character-driven films. Recently, a video of the veteran actor surfaced on social media, where he revealed that he still has to step out to work as he needs money to visit the doctor.
In the viral video, Dinesh Hingoo can be heard saying, “I am 86 years old. I go out sometimes to work. I fell down recently and got injured. It is fine now but I need money to go to the doctor. Doctor kabhi 5000 Rs mangte hai kabhi Rs 6000. Character artists ko itne paise nahi milte [they don’t get so much money]. I worked in black and white films. I have worked in Gujarati and Rajasthani movies.”
Dinesh Hingoo also added that he still steps out to work sometimes, at the age of 86. He added, “Doctor ke paas jaane ke liye maal chahiye (Need money to go to the doctor).” Speaking of still stepping out to work at 86, he said, “Jaata hoon kabhi kabhi, bulaya aaya toh (I go if they call me).” Have a look:
Soon after the video was shared online, fans were seen reacting to it. One fan wrote, “Inki acting bahut hi pyaari thi.” Another fan commented, “Kitne dukh ki baat h itni films ki fir b insan agr ye keh rha h pese nhi dete jitna dena chahiye.” One of the fans recalled his Hera Pheri dialogue.
