In a significant step amid growing public anger over the On-Screen Marking (OSM) process, the Centre on Tuesday transferred the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Chairman and Secretary, while constituting a one-man inquiry committee to probe the matter.
Rahul Singh served as the chief executive of CBSE, tasked with overseeing the board’s overall functioning and administration, while Himanshu Gupta was the CBSE’s Secretary and chief administrative officer, handling legal matters, audit and public relations.
