Devendra Fadnavis calls Ketan Agarwal murder shocking, urges society to see it as a social issue and prevent cruel, revenge driven mindsets among children

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday reacted to the murder of Ketan Agarwal and said the incident should be viewed not just as a crime but also as a reflection of deeper social issues.
Calling it “something beyond imagination”, Fadnavis questioned why children from educated and financially secure families develop such “malicious and destructive thinking”. He said society needs to introspect on the factors that shape such mindsets at a young age.
“We need to think deeply about it. In reality, this case should not be viewed merely as a crime, but also from a social perspective,” Fadnavis said.
The chief minister stressed the need to create an environment and social system that prevents children from developing cruel and revenge-driven tendencies. “Society must consider what kind of environment and system needs to be created so that such cruel and revenge-driven thoughts do not develop in children at such a young age. This incident is truly very shocking,” he added.
