‘Being Pressured…’: Abhijeet Dipke Says CJP Volunteers Getting Police Notices Ahead Of Delhi Protest
Last Updated:
CJP said it would proceed with its October 10 protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and SIR.

The CJP wants Gyanesh Kumar to step down from his post.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has alleged that its activists are receiving police notices questioning their travel expenses and are being pressured to stay away from the group’s proposed protest in New Delhi on October 10.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke on Tuesday, claimed that Maharashtra Police were sending notices to CJP volunteers travelling to Delhi for the agitation. He also alleged that police were warning that the protest could turn violent.
“Maharashtra Police is sending notices to CJP volunteers asking for their Delhi travel expenses and threatening that the protest could turn violent. How can they make such a claim?” Dipke said.
He questioned whether there was already a plan to disrupt the proposed demonstration.
“Is something already being planned to disrupt our peaceful protest? Is protecting Gyanu more important than the safety and security of citizens?” Dipke asked.

CJP Says Oct 10 Protest Will Go Ahead
The allegations come a day after the CJP said it would proceed with its October 10 protest at Jantar Mantar against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.
On Monday, the party said the mobilisation should not be viewed as an event organised only by one political outfit, but as a “broader call by the youth”.
The CJP described Jantar Mantar as a “symbol of hope, victory and shared responsibility” while reiterating that the protest would remain peaceful. The party also said its supporters would continue with the demonstration even if Delhi Police prevented them from reaching the designated protest site.
‘Wherever Police Stop Us, We Will Sit There’
CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said protesters would remain peaceful and sit wherever they were stopped by the police. “Wherever the police stop us, we will sit there and that will become Jantar Mantar. They cannot cordon off the entire city, right?” Mr Das said.
The CJP has maintained that its October 10 mobilisation is a youth-led call and not merely an activity of the organisation.
Dipke’s latest allegations centre on the notices reportedly being sent to volunteers and the police warning about the possibility of violence. He questioned the basis for such a claim while asserting that the proposed protest would remain peaceful.
