Exclusive interview with the author
Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?
A: The inspiration dawned upon me several years ago when I became interested in the Supernatural elements, mysticism and the literature I read about the existence of other Reality Systems, other than our own. These systems, peopled by both benign and dark are said to possess extraordinary abilities and can influence various aspects of our own Reality System. Also, I have always been thrilled by the notion of mystical portals, the doorways to other dimensions.
Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?
A: The crux or the core aspect of the book is about how formation of Portals and Time-loops can throw our usual perception out of gear. What if Beings from other Reality Systems can affect our lives both for the good and bad? I chose to weave a story around this interesting premise.
Q: What Does The Title Mean?
A: It signifies opening of certain interconnected portals and time-loops called ‘Meridians’ (similar to the energy channels in our bodies). Since our protagonist Atharv travels through them and caught in them hence the title.
Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?
A: Several aspects like journeys to Other Dimensions is not only possible but that we humans do it almost daily, albeit unconsciously. In deep meditative state anyone can master this travel consciously.
Q: Do You Have Any Suggestions To Help Others To Become A Better Writer? If So, What Are They?
A: I myself have a long way to go as a polished author on the road to excel in this craft. But at the core, the author must have a passion to narrate something that thrills the reader. Like the grandmothers of the old times who used to narrate stories that children listened with saucer-like eyes. An author must have such a capability.
Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?
A: I try my own stuff. I like to create an environment of pure mystery, an element of something out of our daily experience.
Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?
A: When you weave a complex story, connecting the various elements that are separate into a single coherent ending is I think is most difficult part for me.
Q: What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?
A: If the reader who has read my book and says “Wow! That was a real roller-coaster ride! And I really learned something new!”, I believe I did the work to my satisfaction.
Q: Where Do You Get Your Greatest Ideas For Writing?
A: I am a voracious reader of books on Mysticism and Enigmas. These books really trigger a lot of thoughts in me.
Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?
A: Have a genuine urge to tell a story. Rest everything will fall in place.
