Arjit Taneja Attacks Rajan Shahi For Dropping Actors From Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Anupamaa – News18

Rajan Shahi recently removed Alisha Parveen from his show Anupamaa without prior informing the actress.

Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s producer Rajan Shahi is back in the news for his remarks on abruptly removing actors from his shows. Recently, he sat for an interview with Tellychakkar, during which he discussed that he follows a zero-tolerance approach for those who are disrespectful on sets. “You disrespect my makeup artist, the cameraman, or the spot dada, you are out of the set,” Shahi stated.

Earlier this year, the producer ousted YRKKH’s lead couple, Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe and replaced them with Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani. More recently, Shahi replaced Alisha Parveen from Anupamaa, who used to play Rupali Ganguly’s stepdaughter in the show. Without naming anyone, he added, “Recently, also I removed a lead actress from the show, and I don’t want to talk about it.”

Shahi also discussed removing Dhami and Honmukhe from YRKKH, saying, “I have removed two lead actors of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Three months of investment. The actress was groomed. But there is too much out in the media, so I don’t want to talk about it more.”

After Rajan Shahi’s comment grabbed attention on social media, Arjit Taneja, known for his role in Kumkum Bhagya, reacted to this entire controversy. The actor took to the comment section of Tellychakkar’s post and came out in support of those who were ousted by Shahi. He wrote, “That’s one side of the story. And how come all the actors are wrong and he is a saint? Because actors are an easy target and this guy is GOD!!”

Arjit’s comment resonated with many in the industry as well as the fans of these actors. They soon started sharing their points of view on Shahi’s remarks as well. Actress Shalini Kapoor wrote, “SO YOU DISRESPECT THE ACTOR IS IT? WHEN DIRECTORS MISBEHAVE ARE THEY THROWN OUT?ALL THE RUĹES ARE ONE SIDED…”

Meanwhile, a netizen said, “Did everyone disrespect ur hair dada? How come everyone will have a problem with DKP? Or DKPis the problem,” whereas another wrote, “So happy to see that actors are coming forward and giving a reality check to this man. It’s High time that every actor should boycott his production house.”

On the other hand, Shehzada Dhami, who was ousted from YRKKH overnight, also reacted to Shahi’s recent comments. He took to his Instagram Stories and shared a cryptic note without naming anyone. His note read: “Are koi isko doctor ke pass le ke jao yaar (Someone please take him to a doctor).”

Both Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe were replaced in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai by Shahi over claims of unprofessional behaviour.
