Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday visited the Art of Living Ashram in Bengaluru along with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia to seek the blessings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji.

The leaders offered prayers for the progress, prosperity and peace of Punjab and the entire country. Mann also meditated at the ashram and said the experience gave him a deep sense of spiritual peace and inner tranquillity.

Mann Addresses Gathering At Ashram

Taking to X, Mann said he had the privilege of seeking the blessings of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar along with Kejriwal and Sisodia. He also said he was fortunate to address a large gathering of devotees at the ashram.

Describing his experience, Mann said meeting Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was a “divine experience” and that spending time in meditation in the peaceful surroundings of the ashram left him with a sense of spiritual peace and inner tranquillity.

CM Highlights Punjab’s History And Resilience

During his address, Mann spoke about Punjab’s historical and civilisational contribution to India, describing the state as the “land of five rivers” and highlighting its rich history, culture and traditions.

He described Punjab as the “Sword Arm of the country”, saying its people have repeatedly stood up to defend the nation against external and internal threats.

Mann said Punjab has faced numerous challenges over thousands of years while retaining its “resolute, resilient and sturdy character.”

Focus On Communal Harmony And Social Values

The Chief Minister also highlighted Punjab’s secular and inclusive character, saying that communal harmony, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect have long been central to the state’s social fabric.

He said the Punjab government’s mission extends beyond development-oriented sectors and includes strengthening social, moral, ethical and national values, particularly among the youth.

“The youth are the future of Punjab and the nation, and nurturing them with the right values is essential for building a stronger society,” Mann said.

Mann Praises Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Work With Youth

Mann also praised Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his efforts to inspire and guide the younger generation through his teachings and intellectual guidance.

He expressed hope that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar would continue to guide people through his wisdom, guidance and blessings.

CM Calls For Stronger Social Cohesion

Emphasising the importance of values that unite society, Mann called for greater focus on communal harmony, peaceful coexistence, social equality and universal brotherhood.

He said these values have helped bind society together and described their preservation and strengthening as a collective responsibility.

“With these ideals, we can build a more peaceful, harmonious and inclusive society,” Mann said.
