Exclusive interview with the author
Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?
A: My inspiration comes from a longing for love that feels real, for freedom that feels complete, and for relationships that are honest and unmasked. I wrote this book from the spaces within me that couldn’t always be spoken aloud. Each poem is a reflection of those silent emotions, turned into words.
Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?
A: Yes, the book is a collection of poems written in the exact moments when certain thoughts and memories surfaced. What makes it special is that each poem comes from emotions that were deeply felt and completely honest. I’ve shared these poems to connect with my readers because I believe they reflect the inner world of those who feel deeply, those who believe in love, meaningful friendships, freedom, and genuine relationships. In many ways, the book is not just my story, but a mirror of shared human emotions.
Q: What Does The Title Mean?
A: The title “Mirrors Within Memories” represents the idea that every memory carries a reflection of who we were in that moment. When we look back, those memories act like mirrors, revealing our emotions, thoughts, and true selves. They also show us how each experience has shaped and transformed us into who we are today. In a way, our memories don’t just stay in the past; they continue to define and reflect us.
Q: What did you learn when writing the book?
A: Writing this book felt like looking into a mirror of my own life. It showed me how deeply I have experienced each moment and how every phase has contributed to who I am today. I learned that even the most challenging experiences carry growth within them. More than anything, it made me realise my own strength and helped me see my journey as something truly beautiful and meaningful. In the end, I didn’t just write the book; the book helped me understand myself.
Q: Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
A: My ideas are deeply rooted in my own experiences and the thoughts I have about the world around me. Certain moments stay with me and don’t allow me to settle until I reflect on them. When something raises a question within me, I write about it to understand it better and give it meaning. For me, writing begins where questions refuse to stay silent.
Q: Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?
A: I focus more on being authentic than trying to deliver what readers expect. Writing is deeply personal for me, and I don’t believe in shaping it just to please others. I write when I feel a genuine need to express something meaningful. This approach reflects across all my work, whether it’s my articles on Medium, my contributions to various anthologies, or my books. Everything I write is rooted in real human emotions and lived experiences, which naturally makes it relatable to readers. I don’t try to meet expectations, I try to stay true, and that’s what truly connects with people.
Q: What does success mean to you? What is your definition of success?
A: For me, success is not a single destination but an ongoing journey. I feel successful whenever I can stay true to my intentions and see my efforts create a positive impact. Being able to serve others and make a difference, even in small ways, defines success for me. I have never believed in measuring success through money or possessions.
Q: What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
A: My advice to aspiring authors is to write with purpose and responsibility. If you feel your words have the power to help, heal, or make a difference, don’t hesitate to share them. Writing should come from a place of sincerity and intention. Because when your words carry purpose, they have the power to reach far beyond the page.
