Just like many of us, the festive season is an excuse for television actress Pavitraa Puniya to indulge in delicacies. Set to feature in an upcoming reality show, the actress recently revealed putting on a few extra kilos and the reason has everything to do with Ganesh Chaturthi. She added a post on Instagram to give a glimpse of her look for the spiritual celebration. In her post, she also divulged the reason behind the weight gain.

Pavitraa Puniya’s recent post included a bunch of pictures, featuring her dressed in elegant traditional attire. Accessorising it with a golden stack of bangles in one hand and a silver bracelet in another, she elevated her look. The quirky caption attached to the post read, “Khoob sari mithai khai 7 din mei aur Main 2 kilo Moti ho gai (Ate a lot of sweets in the past seven days and gained two kilos).” She added, “The calmness of this outfit says it all in my energetic field.”

Pavitraa Puniya has been in the news lately for her personal life. The actress made headlines for her former beau Eijaz Khan whom she started dating following their appearance in Bigg Boss 14. The duo romanced each other for a while until last year when they decided to part their ways. The reason behind the breakup is yet to be confirmed. Now, in a recent interview, Pavitraa has claimed that she isn’t in the mood for love and does not want to get married.

Speaking with Telly Masala, Pavitraa Puniya shared, “You will never hear that I have got married. Because last year I lost my father and this year my brother is on a ventilator. I have seen my mother crying for her husband and her son.” She added, “I can’t go like this. It is very difficult for me to see someone close to me in great pain, like my husband and children. I will marry God. I will spend my life serving him. What is wrong with that?”

In terms of work, Pavitraa Puniya will next be seen in an exciting reality show titled Reality Ranis of The Jungle. Hosted by Roadies fame Varun Sood, the show will also feature contestants like Bigg Boss OTT 2 fame Bebika Dhurve, Krissann Barretto Karamchandani, Jeevika Tyagi and Aarushi Chawla among others.
