Celebrity MasterChef, the Farah Khan-hosted cooking-based reality show, is getting more interesting day by day with contestants facing significant challenges to reserve their spot in the finale. In the recent episode, the viewers saw contestant Gaurav Khanna confronting the makers of the show about its “unfair” format.

The episode depicted several contestants taking up an intense tasting challenge, where they had to identify ingredients while blindfolded. The task included five participants, with Tejasswi Prakash leading at the front and Gaurav at the back. As they began to taste the dish, the task took a dramatic turn after the Anupamaa actor raised questions about its fairness.

Talking about the challenge, he claimed that the first contestant (Tejasswi) had an advantage because they could make assumptions without any prior information, whereas the last contestant had fewer options. After all, the ingredients had already been identified.

Furthermore, he explained that he was not questioning the judge’s decision, but rather stating his opinion on what he saw as an unfair situation.

Listening to him, the Bigg Boss 15 winner defended the format, claiming that being first in the line did not always ensure success, as mistakes may still result in early elimination. She told Gaurav that the challenge was unpredictable because it involved both luck and talent.

Earlier on Celebrity MasterChef, Gaurav made a shocking revelation about his health, stating that he is suffering from colour blindness. “Many don’t know this, I am colour-blind,” he said while preparing a dish.

Judged by star Chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar, the show features a stellar lineup of well-known television personalities and social media influencers showcasing their culinary talent.

The remaining contestants of the show include Gaurav, Tejasswi, Faisal Shaikh, Rajiv Adatia, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni and Nikki Tamboli.

In the recent episode, Kabita Singh was eliminated from the show. She was in the danger zone with contestants like Gaurav, Rajiv, Nikki and Dipika Kakar.

Dipika, who decided to leave the show midway due to her health issues, will reportedly be eliminated after the Holi special episode.

Celebrity MasterChef premieres on Sony TV from Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
