Nia Sharma returns to the small screen with Colors TV’s supernatural drama, Suhagan Chudail. The first episode has already been aired, garnering praise from viewers who appreciate the unique plot and admire Nia’s portrayal as a chudail. Before starting this new chapter, Nia upheld a personal tradition close to her heart – a visit to Mumbai’s renowned Siddhivinayak Temple, seeking blessings for her journey ahead. Now, the actress has spoken about the 13-year-old tradition that became an integral part of her life.

According to a report by ETimes, Nia shared, “Before every new project, I make sure to visit Siddhivinayak. I have been going there for 13 years now, and this year was no exception. Seeking Bappa’s blessings today fills me with gratitude. I’m thrilled to be a part of Suhagan Chudail and eagerly await the audience’s reaction. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”

Nia Sharma has also shared a clip of herself performing rituals at the temple on her Instagram page and offered her fans a glimpse of her tradition. The video opens with the priest putting a tilak on Nia’s forehead and draping a sacred cloth around her neck. After this, she is handed a basket containing things for the puja along with a framed picture of Lord Ganpati. The video ends with Nia providing a glimpse of her attire for the day. She is wearing a white kurta set with floral prints in a shade of blue.

Suhagan Chudail is a fantasy series centered around a centuries-old chudail, who relentlessly hunts for her next sacrifice to satisfy evil forces that can give her great powers and eternal beauty. In the series, Nia Sharma plays the lead role of a witch Nishigandha who is on a mission to find her Suhaag ki Nishaniyan or Solah Shringars. After finding all the 16 adornments, she will become immortal and her beauty will remain unchanged. Each of her decorations is attained by sacrificing a man she marries for this specific purpose.

Apart from Nia Sharma, the show also features Debchandrima Singha Roy as Deeya and Zayn Ibad Khan as Moksh in significant roles.
