Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A:The inspiration for the book came from the story itself. I wanted to tell the story because I felt it was important to convey. Also, the nine stories that follow “Red” started with the theme of Ek Kahaani on my blog “Faith.” Slowly the novelette emerged and, in a way, linked the stories together.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: The book is about Sarah Ansari and how her life unravels a deep mystery and is linked to her struggle with a mental illness. For me, it is a story of what a butterfly signifies hope and transformation despite restrictions on the physical realm. The nine stories are observations of the theme of love and life.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: Red the book title has many meanings for me it is about how her soft toy ‘Red’ helps her deal with her feelings and dig deeper into her past. It is also about the transformations and victories she goes through after ‘Red’ came into her life and how love had been missing from it for so long.

Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

A: When I write I am not so much thinking about what the readers want but my focus is on trying to tell a story the way I see it in my mind.

Q: How Did Publishing Your First Book Change Your Process Of Writing?

A: My experience with self-publishing with OrangeBooks Publication was such a remarkable learning process that it inspired me to continue writing and gain some wisdom. OrangeBooks Publication makes communication so easy and efficient that it puts faith in your writing.

Q:What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A: Success for me means hard work and sincerity. Success does not mean anything if you do not put the effort into what you believe in. It is that satisfaction at the end of the day when you feel you have earned it.

Q:Tell Us About Your First Published Book? What Was The Journey Like?

A:Red my first published book has been a wonderful journey in trying to make a little dream come alive and to be able to continue to pursue writing. I had the wonderful team at OrangeBooks Publication to help me realize this dream and give it direction.

Q:How Do Your Book Get Published?

A:I did not have a publisher accept and appreciate my book so I decided to self-publish with OrangeBooks Publication. I had complete faith in them from the start and was ever so grateful for their guidance.

Q:What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?

A:To any aspiring author out there write with sincerity, faith in yourself and a whole lot of heart and do not let anything stop you from achieving your dreams because they matter.
