Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A: My inspiration stems from the silent “pauses” we experience in life. Balancing a corporate career in the travel industry, I became fascinated by how we navigate grief and memory. I wanted to explore the internal grit required to break free from a comfortable lie and step into a visceral, authentic reality.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: The Time Between Goodbyes is a metaphysical mystery centered on Anaya, an executive trapped in the “Blue Suite”—a simulation where time is frozen at 14:15:00. As her world fractures, she must navigate a labyrinth of memories to choose between a sterile perfection and the raw truth of her existence.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: The title refers to that fragile, suspended moment between losing something and finally accepting it. It’s the “resonance” that exists when we are no longer who we were, but haven’t yet become who we are meant to be. It’s about finding life in the transition.

Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?

A: I learned that writing a 90,000-word novel is an exercise in pure resilience. It taught me that a story has its own pulse; as an author, my job is not just to create, but to listen to where the characters need to go, even when the path is difficult.

Q: Where Do You Get Your Information Or Ideas For Your Books?

A: My ideas come from the intersection of reality and imagination. My professional background in travel gives me a global perspective, while my interest in social taboos and human psychology provides the “resonance” that fuels my plots. I observe the world and ask, “What if?”

Q: Do You Have Any Suggestions To Help Others To Become A Better Writer? If So, What Are They?

A: Never stop observing. A writer is a professional observer of the human spirit. Also, embrace the grit; the first draft is rarely a bed of roses. You must have the discipline to finish what you start and the courage to tell the truth.

Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?

A: The “Silence.” There are moments when the words don’t come easily, especially after a long day of corporate work. Overcoming that initial silence to find the characters’ voices again requires a level of mental discipline that is both exhausting and rewarding.

Q: What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A: Success is the recognition of talent and the protection of one’s self-esteem. It is the ability to serve the world with my literature while maintaining my professional sovereignty. If my story helps even one person break their own “pause,” that is success.

Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?

A: Extremely important. Even in a metaphysical mystery, the details must feel real—from the scent of a car crash to the logistics of a simulation. Research provides the “grit” that makes the “resonance” of the story feel believable and immersive for the reader.

Q: What Advice Would You Give To Aspiring Authors?

A: Protect your worth and your vision. The beginning will not be a bed of roses, and you don’t need “charity” you need to trust your talent. Focus on your priorities, embrace the grit, and keep walking your endless pathway. Your resonance will find its audience.
