Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A: During my college days, I attended a seminar where the renowned director Imtiaz Ali was a guest speaker. His speech ignited a spark within me to explore my creative side, and from that moment, I knew I wanted to write a book someday. Many years later, a personal experience echoed the themes in my book, reigniting my lost motivation, and led me to finally pen down my thoughts and stories.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: The book *They Left a Mark on My Life* is a celebration of 15 real-life stories and experiences that profoundly impacted me. These encounters made me reflect on my conscience, challenged my beliefs, and often brought out the best in me. In this debut work, I hope to convey that every person we meet has a purpose in our lives, and these relationships should be treasured.

Q: How Long Does It Take You To Write A Book?

A: It took me around 6 to 7 months to complete the book. Given that the book is based on real-life experiences, the story writing process was relatively straightforward. However, the most time-consuming aspects were seeking consents, proofreading, revising the stories, improving the choice of words, and taking legal advice. All these steps were crucial to ensuring that the book was ready for release on my birthday.

Q: Do You Have Any Suggestions To Help Others To Become A Better Writer? If So, What Are They?

A: While I don’t consider myself an expert writer, I can share what I’ve learned from my experience. If my book can bring a smile to readers’ faces and encourage them to think, then I believe it has served its purpose. My journey taught me that writing from the heart and aiming to connect with readers can be incredibly rewarding. If I had to offer one piece of advice, it would be to write with authenticity and passion.

Q:Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

A: In this book, I’ve strived to be as original as possible. While the essence and core of the stories remain true to real-life experiences, I’ve incorporated some elements of fiction and combined a few characters to ensure the narrative flows smoothly. My goal was to maintain authenticity while also creating a compelling read for my audience.
