Updates: Punjab Cops Zero In On Radical Preacher Amritpal Singh, Internet Cut
Amritpal Singh, self-styled radical Sikh preacher, and Khalistani sympathiser, is allegedly on the run from the Punjab Police, who are trying to arrest him, sources have said.
A special team of the state police, comprising personnel from seven districts, had followed the separatist leader’s convoy while he was on his way to Jalandhar’s Shahkot tehsil.
The Internet has been snapped across Punjab till 12 pm tomorrow as Amritpal Singh’s aides started circulating frantic videos appealing to supporters to reach Shahkot.

The operation to arrest Amritpal Singh is underway, the police have detained his father and have arrested 50 of his associates.
Some reports, however, say Amritpal Singh is on the run and the police are talking to his family to make him surrender in order to avoid any law and order issues.
Sources say the arrest plan was made during Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s meeting

Sources said police personnel from seven district chased Amritpal Singh and his associates, and have surrounded him at Mehatpur village in Jalandhar’s Shahkot tehsil. Police had closed all roads and set up huge barricades in Shahkot as they had prior information of Amritpal Singh’s visit.
