Wipro Hiring 2026: Freshers Salary, Roles And Pay Structure
Wipro continues to be one of India’s biggest recruiters of fresh graduates, hiring thousands of candidates every year through campus placements and off-campus drives. The company recruits through several entry-level programmes, including Elite, Turbo, STAR and WILP. While Wipro does not officially publish salary details on its careers website, starting pay varies depending on the hiring programme, role, college and business requirements.

Wipro Elite
The Elite programme is Wipro’s flagship hiring drive for engineering graduates. Selected candidates usually join as Project Engineers and undergo training before being assigned to projects. The typical starting CTC is Rs 3.5 lakh per annum.

Wipro Turbo
The Turbo programme is designed for students from select institutes who demonstrate strong technical skills. Candidates hired through this programme typically work on advanced digital technologies and receive higher compensation than Elite recruits. The typical starting CTC is around Rs 6.5 lakh per annum.

Wipro STAR Hiring
The STAR Hiring Programme is meant for students from a limited number of premier technical institutes. Wipro highlights benefits such as faster career growth, global client exposure and sponsored higher education. However, the company has not publicly disclosed the salary for STAR hires.

Wipro WILP (Work Integrated Learning Program)
The WILP programme is for BCA and B.Sc graduates, allowing them to work full-time while pursuing a company-sponsored M.Tech degree. The starting salary under WILP is generally lower than engineering hiring programmes and may increase as employees progress through the programme. Wipro has not officially announced a fixed salary for WILP candidates.

A fresher’s salary can vary based on several factors, including the hiring programme (Elite, Turbo, STAR or WILP), college or institute, performance in the recruitment process, job role, business unit and project requirements. In general, candidates selected through premium programmes like Turbo receive higher starting packages than those hired through the Elite programme.

Freshers may receive salary hikes based on their performance, project allocation, skill certifications and business requirements. Promotions and pay revisions follow Wipro’s appraisal process and are not guaranteed after a fixed period. Wipro hires freshers from different educational backgrounds, including BTech/BE, MCA, BCA, B.Sc, MBA (for select roles). Eligibility criteria, including academic scores, eligible batches and branches, vary depending on the recruitment drive and are announced whenever hiring begins.
