Lawrence Bishnoi’s cousin claims Salman Khan offered a cheque book to settle the dispute: ‘Humara khoon khol raha tha’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India
The ongoing conflict between Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and the Lawrence Bishnoi community has escalated, with Ramesh Bishnoi, a cousin of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, publicly expressing the community’s support for Lawrence amid the controversy. The tension dates back to the 1998 blackbuck hunting case, where Salman Khan’s actions offended the community, as they regard the blackbuck as sacred.
Recently, Ramesh Bishnoi addressed allegations that Salman Khan attempted to offer financial compensation to the Lawrence Bishnoi group, which the community strongly denied. Ramesh claimed that Salman had once brought a cheque book, encouraging them to write any amount they wanted, but they refused the offer. “If we were after money, we would have accepted it,” Ramesh said in an interview with NDTV. He also dismissed comments made by Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, suggesting that the gang was motivated by financial gain.

Ramesh further described the community’s emotional reaction to the blackbuck incident. “Our blood was boiling at that time (Humara khoon khol raha tha),” he recalled, explaining how the event triggered intense anger. Despite their rage, the community chose to let the legal system address the matter, but felt insulted by any attempts to trivialize their emotions. Ramesh emphasized that the community remains united in support of Lawrence Bishnoi.
Although Salman Khan faced legal trouble for the blackbuck hunting case, he was later granted bail. However, tensions worsened after Lawrence Bishnoi accused the actor of disrespecting the community, adding fuel to the ongoing conflict.
The situation has now taken a more serious turn. The Navi Mumbai police are currently investigating recent death threats against Salman Khan, following earlier alarming incidents. The threats have intensified, with Khan allegedly receiving a ransom demand of ₹5 crore. Members allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang warned that failure to pay could have severe consequences, hinting that Khan could meet the same fate as politician Baba Siddique, a close friend of the actor, who was recently shot to death.
