Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna may join for ‘Humraaz 2’, producer Ratan Jain says, ‘If I get the right script..’ | – The Times of India

In the past two years, two actors made strong comebacks. Bobby Deol started with 2020’s ‘Aashram’, ‘Class of ’83’, then hit big with ‘Animal’. Akshaye Khanna surprised the audience with a ruthless role in ‘Chhaava’, 2025 and ended the year with ‘Dhurandhar’, where his Rehman Dakait became legendary. If remember, both worked together in the hit thriller in the 2002 film ‘Humraaz’ by Abbas-Mustan. With old films in trend for their sequels, Bobby and Akshaye may join for ‘Humraaz 2’.

Producer’s vision

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, ‘Humraaz’ producer Ratan Jain talks about the possibility of Humraaz 2 and said, “I can make ‘Humraaz 2’ if I get the right script for these two actors. We need to have scripts where they fit the part and have age-appropriate roles.” He further said, “Bobby is a pleasure to work with and so is Akshaye. As for Akshaye, let him get settled for some time after this humongous success that he has seen.”

Friendship and selectivity

Ratan ensures that he’ll try to meet Akshaye. They are very good friends. He deserves better films. The producer added, “Akshaye has always been like this – very selective in his films. Money is secondary to him. If he’s not happy with the script, he’ll reject the film.”

Recent release update

Meanwhile, Ratan Jain’s recent release, ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ starring Kapil Sharma, earned widespread audience praise. On December 26, the filmmakers noted that its theatrical run suffered from rare screen space amid multiplex dominance by competing films. As a result, the movie will get a re-release in January 2026.
