Atul Parchure passes away: Arjun Kapoor, Renuka Shahane, Supriya-Sachin Pilgaonkar, Maharashtra’s CM Eknath Shinde and others mourn his loss | – Times of India
Veteran actor Atul Parchure, known for his contribution in both Bollywood and Marathi cinemas, passed away on October 14 at the age of 57. He had been battling cancer for the past few years.
As soon as the news of his demise was out, messages of condolences started pouring in from all sides. His fans and co-stars from both Bollywood and Marathi industry mourned his loss.
Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor shared a post mourning his demise.He wrote, ‘I never had a chance to work with him, but he always seemed to be such a likeable person no matter what role he played… He was taken by Cancer despite fighting the disease for so many years. May his soul rest in peace.’
Renuka Shahane took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo with the late actor and wrote, ‘Atul, mitraa’.
Supriya Pilgaonkar also shared a picture of him on her Instagram handle and captioned it, ‘Dear friend shouldn’t have been like this, you fought a lot! You have tolerated a lot. You will always be missed. Your silly smile will always be missed. May your soul rest in peace and the strength to endure the pain of the family.. ‘
Ace actor Sachin Pilgaonkar also shared his condolences on Instagram along with a picture of Atul.
German actress Suzanne Bernert also mourned the loss of the actor. Sharing a picture of herself with Atul, the actress wrote, ‘Farewell and last curtain to a friend of ours … Akhil and I both worked with him and he was sunshine itself! Sweet,considerate and a very good actor … Om Shanti #atulparchure.’
Not only industry people, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also mourned the loss of the veteran star.
Atul Parchure was a versatile actor celebrated for his exceptional comic timing and memorable performances across various platforms. He left a lasting impact on both television and films, featuring prominently in beloved comedy shows like RK Laxman Ki Duniya, Jaago Mohan Pyaare, Yam Hain Hum, Badi Dooor Se Aaye Hain, The Kapil Sharma Show, and many Marathi serials. His talent and charm made him a cherished figure in the entertainment industry.
In a throwback interview with Bombay Times, Atul shared that he accepted his cancer diagnosis without much difficulty, feeling that he was already aware something was wrong. Despite trying to stay positive, he struggled with sleepless nights due to the lack of work. He expressed concerns about his financial situation, as his income had stopped while treatment costs were high.
In the same interview, he highlighted how crucial Mediclaim was in easing his financial stress during his cancer treatment. He mentioned that it, along with his savings, significantly helped him manage expenses, which would have been challenging otherwise. He also noted that his family’s support kept his spirits high, as they never treated him like a patient.
