An aerial video of glittering Diwali lights on numerous Noida buildings has gone viral and left internet users mesmerised. The makers of the video said they have tried to capture the “most beautiful buildings” in Noida and Greater Noida West.
Posted on the Instagram handle @noidagram, the video asked social media users in Noida if they can recognise their own societies. “Can you tell us which societies you recognise? Noida ko isse zyada sunder kabhi dekha hai (have you seen a more beautiful Noida before)? 2024 Diwali Lights of Noida. We travelled and captured the most beautiful buildings in Noida and Greater Noida west (Noida Extension),” the caption for the video said.
A number of prominent residential buildings in Noida adorned with Diwali lights have been captured in the video, which is shot in the night. The video makers said the “sectors covered are 78,79, 76, 107, 104, 100, 110, 18 and Gaur Chowk”.
There were a number of comments on the video, with some admiring the stunning view and saying it captures the spirit of Diwali. Others had humorous responses while some raised questions on whether it really showed Noida as it is.

Social media shared their excitement over the captivating video. One social media user wrote, “Wow!! Amazing view from the 3rd eye!” (sic). Another wrote: “superb use of camera just love it.” (sic).
“Absolutely breathtaking! Noida looks magical from above, like a city of dreams,” (sic) an Instagram user wrote. Another said: “I can recognise my society! Thank you for capturing this incredible view.” (sic)
One social media user joked it would be more appropriate to show the “daily traffic congestion below on the streets”, while another said “Noida=Nevada”. Some users called Noida a “concrete jungle” and said “this is a waste of electricity”, while another user said Noida is beautiful and has good infrastructure but it was not being developed like Gurugram.
Another said: “Showing…society doesn’t define Noida I guess you need to clear your vision and see the truth of noida.” (sic). Many complained of the thick and toxic smog, which has enveloped the skies in the last couple of days as Noida along with neighbouring areas like Ghaziabad and Greater Noida recorded ‘poor’ air quality.
