Car plunges into cellar pit at Gandhi Bazaar in Bengaluru, four injured

A car plunged into a 12-feet-deep cellar pit which was reportedly dug illegally at Gandhi Bazaar in Bengaluru around 12 p.m. on Wednesday, leaving four people injured.

Speaking to The Hindu, Guruprasad Rotti, Secretary of the Heritage Basavanagudi Residence Welfare Forum, said, “The construction was taken up without a sanctioned plan.”

The injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital and are reported to be out of danger.

The Basavanagudi Police have registered a case against the owner of the property charging him for endangering human lives.
