In September 2025, Deepika Padukone revealed that she would be joining Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan in the upcoming film King. Months later, on April 19, 2026, the actor made headlines again after announcing her pregnancy, sending the internet into a frenzy.
Just a week after the announcement, Deepika and SRK were spotted shooting for King in Cape Town, South Africa. Pictures from the sets quickly went viral, showing Shah Rukh Khan holding Deepika’s hand as she smiled warmly, effortlessly capturing fans’ attention.
While much of the focus remained on the duo’s reunion, eagle-eyed fans noticed Deepika’s breezy outfit. A quick Google Lens search revealed that the dress was from the French label Mes Demoiselles.
A ₹23K Statement Look
Deepika wore a flowing dress priced at USD 248 (approximately ₹23,537), currently listed at a 50% discount from its original price of USD 495 (around ₹46,980). The piece is now sold out.
The dress features a bohemian silhouette with a baroque print set against an ecru base, giving it an artistic, almost painterly feel. Its loose, asymmetrical cut lends both fluidity and structure, balancing ease with elegance.
Intricate studs highlight the neckline, bust, and underbust, while sheer, voluminous sleeves with gathered wrists add a touch of drama. At the back, two flounced panels enhance its movement. Fully lined for comfort, the dress strikes a seamless balance between romance, sophistication, and boldness.
Back On Set With SRK
Deepika’s announcement of King also came amid brief industry chatter following her exit from projects like Spirit and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD.
Taking to Instagram, she reflected on her long-standing collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, writing, “The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago while filming Om Shanti Om was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success.”
She added that this philosophy has guided her career choices ever since, hinting at why the duo is reuniting for their sixth film together.
King is slated for a theatrical release on December 12, 2026.
