Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A: As the Founder of Finverse Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd, when I meet CXOs to pitch my business, I want to leave an impression that cannot be captured by just my business card.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: In the lending business, the general impression is that lending and collecting money are how the business runs, which impacts profitability. Although this is partly correct, several important factors determine the profitability of this business. I’ve highlighted key contributors in the book for senior management to help improve profitability.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: The book title,” The True Economics of Two-Wheeler Lending in India,” means that there are various finer nuances in the Two-Wheeler Lending business that lead to profitability. For example, scale alone does lead to profitability.

Q: What Did You Learn When Writing The Book?

A: As a first-timer, writing non-fiction was very challenging. It required a bit of research and business understanding to compile it together into a book. With 30+ years in lending, I bring practical, implementable value.

Q: How Long Does It Take You To Write A Book?

A: It took me a couple of months to complete this book. As a first-timer, I found it very difficult to get started. Then, research and understanding of the business play a very important role.

Q: Where Do You Get Your Information Or Ideas For Your Books?

A: The sole purpose of writing this book is to help the C-Suite of the company ideate on the true factors that impact profitability in the Two-Wheeler lending business. Of course, a bit of research is required to get the facts in order.

Q: Do You Try More To Be Original Or To Deliver To Readers What They Want?

A: Yes, as a business consultant, I have to be original and practical to get my ideas across to my CXO audience.

Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?

A: For a first-time author, the most difficult part was how to present my ideas in a way that looks practical and implementable.

Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?

A: For me for writing this book research played a pvitol role.
