Michael Boulos, the son-in-law of United States President Donald Trump, arrived in Kerala’s Kochi on Saturday for a private trip. Boulos, who is visiting India for the second time, was accompanied by US Ambassador Sergio Gor.
PTI, citing police sources, reported that Trump’s son-in-law, who is married to Tiffany Trump, is likely to explore tourist spots in Kochi and nearby Alappuzha, although his exact travel plans have not been disclosed.
“Welcome back to India Michael Boulos ! Thrilled to have my friend join me in Kerala (sic)” the US envoy wrote on X earlier in the day. He also shared a picture featuring him and Boulos on social media.
Gor Meets Kerala CM
Further, Ambassador Gor met Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan during his visit to the state. “It was truly a pleasure to meet the Chief Minister of Kerala, VD Satheesan. We shared a warm and insightful conversation, exploring a range of promising opportunities together—especially in higher education, technology, and the development of port infrastructure,” Gor wrote in a separate post.
“It was an official meeting. Any other report in this regard was wrong,” a government source said, PTI reported.
A US Embassy spokesperson said Boulos was visiting India in a personal capacity.
“Michael Boulos has been friends with Ambassador Gor for nearly a decade. He is visiting India for the second time this year to see his friend. He is here in his personal capacity, not on an official visit.”
