Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora’s breakup rumours have been circulating on social media for some time, and Arjun himself has finally confirmed their split. Arjun was joined by Singham Again cast, including Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, and director Rohit Shetty, at Raj Thackeray’s Diwali bash in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park on Monday, when he made the big confession.
During the event, Arjun Kapoor addressed his relationship status, revealing that he is now single. In a viral video from the party, he was seen telling the crowd, “Abhi single hoon main, relax.” The clip quickly gained traction online as fans reacted to Arjun’s statement. Arjun Kapoor’s recent Instagram story also stirred up speculation as it coincided with Malaika Arora’s birthday. Traditionally, Arjun would fill the day with sweet tributes for Malaika, but this year, he appeared to take a different route. The actor shared a cryptic message: “Never forget who you are – The Lion King.” The quote was taken from Mufasa’s iconic lines to Simba in the movie The Lion King.
Malaika, who has faced intense scrutiny over the years, especially regarding her age difference with Arjun and her past marriage to Arbaaz Khan, remains unfazed. In a recent interview with GlobalSpa Magazine, she candidly discussed her experiences with online trolling. “There are times when you feel things don’t bother or affect me, but of course they do,” she said. She elaborated on how she has learned to insulate herself from negativity.
While many supported their love, others questioned it due to the age gap between them. Malaika has endured her share of challenges, including public trolling after her divorce from Arbaaz in 2017. Through it all, she continues to co-parent their son, Arhaan, with grace.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Singham Again on Diwali. While addressing the media at the trailer launch of Singham Again, Arjun said that he was almost in disbelief that he landed a part in an action entertainer that belongs to Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Talking about how he had reached out to Rohit earlier to be cast in his films, Arjun said, “I feel honoured and blessed that Rohit sir chose me to be a part of this film. I’ve been to cinema halls to watch Golmaal and Singham. I, in fact, even reached out to him wanting to work with him. I also wanted to work with Ajay sir. I didn’t know your dreams could come true to this extent! I’m a bit overwhelmed by that.”
