The benchmark Nifty 50 rose 1.92% to close at 22,828.55, two days after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a pause on reciprocal tariffs.

All sectors were in the green, with Nifty Metal increasing 4% and Nifty IT 0.69%. Hindalco, JSW Steel and Tata steel grew the highest in Nifty 50. TCS, Apollo Hospital and Asian Paints were in the red within the benchmark index.

“After shifting into a range-bound action with negative bias on Wednesday, Nifty witnessed an excellent bounce back on Friday and closed with a hefty gain of 429 points. It opened on a sharp upside gap of 297 points and moved up in the early part of the session and into range bound action for the better part of the session,” Nagaraj Shetti, senior technical research analyst at HDFC Securities said.

“If 23,000/75,800 is breached, it could push the market toward 23,200/76,400. Conversely, if it falls below 22,500/74,200, market sentiment could shift negatively, and traders may prefer to exit their long positions,” Amol Athawale, VP-Technical Research, Kotak Securities said in his note.
