Trust’s general secretary Champat Rai said such contributions can be sent to a designated bank account of the trust in the SBI’s main branch located in Delhi

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been granted approval by the Ministry of Home Affairs to receive donations from abroad for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Trust’s general secretary Champat Rai said such contributions can be sent to a designated bank account of the trust in the SBI’s main branch located in Delhi.

“The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has been approved by the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, to receive voluntary contributions under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 2010,” he said in a post on X.

In a media statement issued separately, he said, “The FCRA section of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government of India, has registered the trust ‘Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra’ to accept the voluntary contribution from the foreign sources.” “Kindly note that such contributions can be sent to only designated bank account of the State Bank of India, Main Branch, situated at 11 Sansad Marg, New Delhi,” he said.

The construction of the ground floor of the three-storey Ram temple in Ayodhya will be completed by December-end and the consecration ceremony is expected to take place on January 22, temple Construction Committee Chairperson Nripendra Mishra recently told.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust has spent Rs 900 crore on the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya between February 5, 2020, and March 31 this year, and still possesses Rs 3,000 crore in bank accounts, trust officials had said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and nearly 10,000 dignitaries from across the country are expected to attend the consecration (pran pratishtha) ceremony likely to be held on January 22.

Before the consecration ceremony, rice will be worshipped in front of Lord Ram and then it will be distributed all over India, Rai said.

The rice (‘Pujit Akshat’) will be distributed in five lakh villages from January 1 to 15.

A committee has been formed for the consecration ceremony, he said.

The temple will be completed in three phases by January 2025, Rai said.
