Exclusive interview with the author

Q: What Inspired You To Write This Book?

A: Influenced by the world around me, people, their mannerisms and interactions as well as my past and present life experiences, I wrote this book of poems Food For Thought.

Q: Can You Tell Us About The Book?

A: In this book Food For Thought, I have illuminated the hidden facets of life exposing the vulnerabilities and strengths that make us who we are. I have tried to evoke memories, bridging the gaps between individuals and awakening a renewed appreciation of the beauty that lies within the ordinary.

Q: What Does The Title Mean?

A: The title Food For Thought means giving you a reason to stop and think as every poem in the book is filled with depth and meaning.

Q: What Does Success Mean To You? What Is The Definition Of Success?

A:Success to me as a writer would be entertaining and enlightening my readers and me learning in the process. Yes, like most authors, I would want fame and recognition too.

Q: What, In Your Opinion, Are The Most Important Elements Of Good Writing?

A: The elements of good writing is being fearless, honest and creative while keeping the structure of the contents systematic, the grammar and punctuation correct.

Q: How Important Is Research To You When Writing A Book?

A: Research is important but the books I write are more from my life’s experiences which are more valuable than research. Research is second hand information while experiences are first hand.

Q: What Is The Most Difficult Part About Writing For You?

A: Some might find this answer to be amusing and unexpected. But for me, being satisfied with the drafts is the most difficult task in the writing process. There’s always a zeal to make it better than what it is. And one has to take care that they stay raw while perfecting each piece. But sometimes, you can not just let yourself accept the final draft. It’s always like “maybe I can get this better” or “this needs more work”. But in the end, nothing is perfect and one has to accept their draft as the final one and trust it.
