Uttarakhand: Navdeep Joshi honoured with ‘Himalaya Naad Vibhushan’

Dehradun, Sep (PTI) Dr Navdeep Joshi has been honoured with the ‘Himalaya Naad Vibhushan’ for his contributions to the fields of yoga, Indian knowledge traditions, and Himalayan culture.

Joshi received this award on Wednesday, the concluding day of the two-day ‘Dharohar Sankalp’ event organised by the ‘Apni Dharohar’ Trust in Rishikesh.

The Trust, which works towards the preservation and promotion of Uttarakhand’s culture, was established on July 16, 2021, coinciding with the Hareli festival.

The organisation — based in Haldwani — has been raising public awareness about folk culture through various programs held at different locations, such as women’s conferences, diaspora gatherings, and mass tree-plantation drives. PTI DPT APL
